Periodontal Disease or Parodontopathy
Periodontal Disease or parodontopathy is bacterial infection that destroys gums and bone that hold teeth in mouth. It may take one or more teeth. The illness starts as gingivitis (isolated inflammation of gingival/gums) if bacterial infection deepens into the tissue ,it progresses into periodontal disease.
The basic cause of periodontal disease is bacterial plaque , sticky, transparent materia that continuously builds up around your teeth. Bacteria , that reside in plaque , product toxines that destroy gums and bone .Gums may become red, swollen and easily bleed when touched. If this irritability progresses , gums remove from teeth and make pockets (empty spaces).

ErbiumChrom laser enters the pockets around teeth . Laser light produces mechanic effect and substitutes sharp curette. Laser has the power to clean dental plaque deep in the pocket and remove previously coagulated infected tissue. The water that springs from the laser cools teeth tissue and washes the pocket around teeth. In that way the pocket stays clean and disinfected and the water immediately calms the infection symptoms: redness, swelling and bleeding .
